1:33 PM – Waiting on a Win
By: A Father Rebuilding

While sitting here writing this journal entry—praying, scrolling through LinkedIn, and laughing at a few funny networking comics—I’ve been trying to figure out how to do better. Jeremy IT Labs is playing in the background, just enough to keep my mind focused and steady.

Then it happened.

I missed a call.
From one of the places I applied to.

My heart damn near leapt out of my chest as I called back immediately—only to find out they were in another conference call.
So now I’m here. Sitting in the quiet again.
Stomach churning with a mix of hope and dread.

It’s just a glimmer.
But right now, I need a win.
Even the smallest one would mean everything. There’s another callback scheduled soon, and you can bet my phone’s volume is on max this time. I’ll be waiting.
Because win or lose—I gotta find something.
